About Comments

First things first: Gone are the days of free and willy comments in my blog. That ended with journalspace (as it was). Comments are moderated here, but all are welcome to leave them. I tend to publish all but the most virulent, nasty or adversarial. The only vituperative invective I entertain is my own. Even then, I will publish them if only for exposure to my own rebuttal (several of these exist in my archives), even though the original comments are long gone now.

Unfortunately, with the death of journalspace, thousands of comments on posts are now gone. So please don’t take my small comment number on this site as an indication of some of the most beautiful conversations, thoughts, support, encouragement and love I’ve received through the comments section of this blog.

I love comments and appreciate the time that my readers spend to share ideas and give feedback. Thank you to everyone who comments at the goddess room.

However, I also want comments to be as useful as possible to all readers. While I keep 99% of comments, I will absolutely remove these:

  • Harassing comments: While conversation and the sharing of different ideas is encouraged, all comments need to be respectful towards me, my team and those leaving comments.
  • Anonymous comments: I only accept comments from people who identify themselves.
  • Promotional comments: If a comment is solely promotional in nature, I will remove it from the site.

I reserve the right to remove any comments from the site; please leave comments that are respectful and useful.
